Long Marine Lab Marine Mammal Stranding Network

LML has been helping with stranded marine mammals for over twenty five years.  We have an agreement with the National Marine Fisheries Service to provide stranding assistance to marine mammals over an area extending from the Pajaro river to the Año Nuevo reserve.

 
August 2008

We have recently completed construction of a large pool with funds from the Prescott Marine Mammal Program administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in which to rehabilitate stranded cetaceans.

Created the Sea Lion Anatomy and Pathology site. Note* This site contains graphic pathology pictures. It is meant to be a site for teachers and graduate student level field researchers.
